District Diagnostic Assessments

Greetings GACA Families,

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are thrilled to embark on another year of learning, growth, and success with our amazing students. Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning to continue your journey, we are excited to partner with you this year. Our team has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to create a supportive, engaging, and enriching school experience for every child.

Beginning Thursday, August 7, 2025, students in grades 3–12 will be assigned Virtual District Diagnostic Assessments (DDAs)—an important first step in helping us understand each student’s strengths and areas for growth. This data allows us to personalize instruction and ensure students receive the support they need to excel. Click here for detailed access instructions.

The DDAs are adaptive assessments, meaning the questions automatically adjust based on each student’s responses to provide an accurate picture of their current skill level. Students will complete four short assessments, each lasting about 30–45 minutes, giving us valuable insights to guide their learning this year.

***Third-grade students will only need to complete the math assessments, as they will also participate in a Reading and Dyslexia Screener administered through the AMIRA testing platform. ***

Please encourage your students to complete their assessments within the designated testing window. It is vital that students complete the assessments independently without using outside resources—such as calculators, parents, siblings, or the internet—so we can gain an accurate picture of the supports they truly need. Honest results allow us to tailor instruction and provide the right level of challenge and support for each student. The data gathered from these assessments will help our teachers understand each student’s academic performance and provide targeted remediation or enrichment opportunities as needed.

Please note: It may take up to 72 hours after enrollment for students to gain access to their assessments. Once access is granted, students will still have ample time to complete their DDAs.

Thank you for your support with this process, and we look forward to working collaboratively to ensure a successful school year.

Kindest Regards,

Caroline M. Fernandez, Ed.S.
